When The Stateless Seek Refuge.
Due to armed violence in Myanmar's Rakhine state, the Rohingya diaspora, also known as Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals, sought asylum in the refugee camps of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. Delivering productive solutions to this most vulnerable demographic, of which more than half are teenage girls and women, is crucial in humanitarian situations. This is a reflection work on the challenges of finding proper ways to tackle women's issues in there, as well as related mitigation techniques.

To investigate refugee demands and demand-side barriers, we used a concurrent mixed-method approach that included an online survey, interviews, and group discussions with volunteers. To do so, we also conducted interviews with disaster mergency management wokers and key stakeholders. In this project we are focusing on designing lightweight bamboo shelters for dealing with the fire crisis which caused by cooking and the women issues in there, and monsoon season( May to September) in Bangladesh reality was involved during delivery the design solutions as well.
The researching questions:
01- Learn about ethnic backgrounds and how they become refugees.
02- How can the problem of Cox's Bazar refugee camp be addressed?
03- How to design with locally available materials?
04- How can the existing buildings be optimized to make them more complete and robust?
05- How to build semi-permanent construction for the refugees?
06- What is the history of bamboo use in architecture area, and what is the current situation of bamboo use in modern architecture?
07- What is the current situation of cooking?
08- How to process bamboo such as selecting, cutting, cleaning, and so on for architecture use.
